Private Italian companies may decide to finance the training of one of their employees through the use of Interprofessional Funds. Paritetic Interprofessional Funds (Law 388/2000) are bodies of an associative nature promoted by trade union organizations and aimed at promoting training activities aimed at employed workers. They are authorized to collect the 0.30 percent paid to INPS and redistribute it among their members. By allocating the 0.30 percent to an Interprofessional Fund, the company will have the guarantee that what it pays in--by obligation (Law 845/1978)--may return to it in training actions aimed at qualifying--in full harmony with its business strategies--its employees.
The tax credit is active for donations made in 2021 or 2022, in the limit of 100,000 euros up to 100 percent for small and medium-sized companies, up to 90 percent for medium-sized companies, and up to 80 percent for large companies, such as scholarships and training initiatives aimed at the development and acquisition of managerial skills promoted by public and private universities, advanced training institutes, and public or private management training schools.
