Slawka G. Scarso has a degree in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University. She teaches Wine Marketing and Food and Wine Tourism at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, IUSVE in Venice, and the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo. She also collaborates with the Mach Foundation in San Michele all'Adige and the Catholic University. Since 2004, she has been working in communications in the food and wine sector as a consultant and copywriter, collaborating with various companies and communications agencies in the Italian food and wine sector, with a particular focus on digital strategies, sustainability, and CSR.
In 2005, he founded the blog www.marketingdelvino.it, the first in Italy dedicated to this sector. He has collaborated with numerous wine and restaurant magazines and guides, including, most recently, Civiltà del Bere and Vite e Vino.
She is the author of the books Il vino a Roma (Wine in Rome, 2010) and Il vino in Italia (Wine in Italy, 2011), both published by Castelvecchi. She is also the author of the manual Marketing del vino. Dalle etichette ai social network, la guida completa per promuovere il vino e il turismo enogastronomico (Wine Marketing: From Labels to Social Networks, the Complete Guide to Promoting Wine and Food and Wine Tourism) (LSWR, third edition 2021) and co-author of Marketing del gusto (Marketing Taste) (LSWR, second edition 2022), Marketing dei prodotti enogastronomici all’estero (Marketing Food and Wine Products Abroad) and Food&Wine Marketing 4.0 Reloaded (Flaccovio, 2024).
