A data scientist and software engineer with deep expertise in Natural Language Processing and user modeling, Marco Pavan is the founder of two startups in the ICT sector. His main areas of interest includeInformation Retrieval and Network Science, with a focus on developing advanced algorithms for user profiling and clustering.

After receiving his bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees from the University of Udine, he embarked on an international academic and professional path. He collaborated with the Georg-Eckert-Institut in Germany, in the Department of Information Science, and with AstraZeneca in the UK, where he faced research challenges in the biomedical field.

He further explored these issues during a postdoctoral research experience at the Department of Neuroscience, Imaging and Clinical Sciences at theUniversity of Chieti, contributing to interdisciplinary projects between technology and life sciences.
