We live in an age when digital communication is dominated by visual language: 90 percent of digital data is composed of images. From information to advertising, from training to sales, the ability to storytelling through images is now indispensable to generate impact, authenticity and connection with diverse audiences.

This executive course guides you in transforming storytelling from a simple narrative to a conscious visual strategy, suitable for both for-profit and non-profit projects. It is divided into progressive modules with a hands-on, laboratory approach: exercises, masterclasses, role-playing, hackathons, presentations.

The program

From ancient Greece to the Middle Ages, the ability to speak to a wide audience of people-once known as rhetoric-was often considered the most esteemed of professions and a crucial skill for active participation in society.

1. Theory and practice of strategic storytelling

It has become a buzzword, but what really is storytelling? How to harness the 'digital' quality of storytelling? And how to interpret a communication challenge to choose the right communication grammar and get to our goal?

2. From storytelling to story-showing

After learning how to tell a story, we will understand how to tell a 'visual story.' Visual language is the primary form of any digital activity. How does it work? Why and how is it different from verbal language? How can we strategically use the potential of visuals, which is often overlooked or even ignored, as a pillar of communication in the non-profit and for-profit sectors? In other words, how can we move from storytelling to story-showing?

3. How to transform your business with mind mapping and storyboarding

Mind-mapping and storyboarding: an experiential workshop to practice techniques for visualizing ideas and processes. In the form of storytelling

4. The strategic application of visual storytelling to a for-profit/non-profit project

In this module you will research, prepare and produce a visual storytelling project and then present it in a hack-day to a panel of experts.
