Biography

Pietro Monari is an Italian STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) educational designer, known for his efforts in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into educational settings. A graduate in Physics with a specialization in biophysics and health physics, he also holds a degree in Jazz Guitar, thus combining science and art in his education.

He gained experience as a high school math and physics teacher and then devoted himself to designing interdisciplinary educational and training paths. He has been Education Project Manager at Ammagamma, where he directed the research center "The Energy of Data" and conceived innovative projects such as the workshop "Educare a Pensare: umanità dell'AI" and "LUCY," the first AI curricular path for middle school in Italy, created in collaboration with the Istituto Comprensivo 3 Mattarella in Modena. Currently, Monari is an adjunct professor at the Department of Educational Sciences "Giovanni Maria Bertin" at the University of Bologna, where he develops teaching activities on AI-related topics, promoting a constructivist approach to the integration of AI in educational practices. He also collaborates with Talent SRL as AI Learning & Innovation Strategist in the askLea.ai project, focused on the use of generative AI as a learning support. In addition to his academic and project work, Monari has authored articles in journals such as "Mondo Digitale" and "Rivista di Scienze dell'Educazione," where he explores the intersection between human dimensions and artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of both technological and emotional awareness education in the AI era.
His educational vision aims to promote inclusive and innovative education that combines the analytical aspects of information technology with creativity and sensory experience, fostering the development of critical and creative skills in students and professionals.
