With over three decades of experience spanning academia, consultancy and healthcare, I specialise in organisation development (OD), strategic change, and leadership development. My work is grounded in reflexive practice, complexity theory, and action learning—bringing depth and relevance to both research and real-world application.
Academic Leadership & Teaching
As Professor of Management and Organisational Learning at the University of Chichester, I lead innovative MBA programmes that integrates professional practice with academic insight. I supervise doctoral research on leadership and organisational change and contribute to curriculum design that reflects the evolving needs of organisations.
Organisation Development Practice
My OD journey began in the NHS, where I worked on strategic initiatives that transformed organ donation services and compliance structures. I’ve coached senior leaders, developed change programmes, and implemented systems that enhanced organisational resilience. I worked with individuals and teams to address complex challenges using action learning and reflexive methods.
Research & Publications
I’ve published extensively on OD, leadership, and reflexivity, including co-authoring Organisation Development: A Bold Explorer’s Guide. My editorial work with Action Research and other journals reflects a commitment to bridging theory and practice.
Consultancy & Executive Education
I’ve delivered CPD and executive programmes for clients such as The Pensions Regulator, NHS and the Co-op. My approach combines strategic insight with practical tools for change and development.
Thought Leadership & Public Engagement
I regularly contribute to public discourse through blogs, white papers, and media commentary. My work has appeared in The Guardian, Health Service Journal, and various professional outlets, offering fresh perspectives on leadership and organisational life.
